KPFK (90.7 FM) is a listener-sponsored radio station based in North Hollywood, California, United States, serving Southern California and also broadcasting 24 hours a day via the Internet. It was the second of the five stations on the Pacifica Foundation network, non-commercial and listener-sponsored. KPFK 90.7 FM began broadcasting in April 1959, twelve years after the establishment of the Pacifica Foundation by the pacifist Lewis Hill, and ten years after the founding of the network's flagship station, KPFA, in Berkeley. KPFK also broadcasts on the KPFK-FM1 booster along the Malibu coast, K258BS (99.5 MHz) in China Lake, California, K254AH (98.7 MHz) in Isla Vista, California and K229BO 93.7 MHz in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, California.
