WIND (AM 560) is a radio station based in Chicago, Illinois, which broadcasts its radio talk format on 560 kHz. The studios are located on the outskirts of Elk Grove Village, while transmitting from a row to four towers in Griffith, Indiana. WIND is owned by Salem Media, a company mainly specialized in Christian radio. Thanks to its location near the bottom of the AM quadrant, the power of the transmitter and the flat land of the surrounding region, the WIND daytime signal provides at least secondary coverage to most of Illinois and Indiana, as well as to the south-east of Wisconsin. At night, WIND's coverage in Indiana and Central Illinois is reduced, as its night pattern concentrates its signal in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas.
