WETS-FM (89.5 FM) is the national public radio station for the Three City region in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. The station is run by East Tennessee State University as a partnership between the ETSU and station listeners. WETS receives a little more than half of its funding from student contributions. He also receives government funding from federal (Public Broadcasting Corporation) and government-funded university sources. His studios are located on the ETSU campus in Johnson, Tennessee. Operating 24 hours a day, the station also has a SHOUTcast webcast available on its website. The station also runs a 91.5 MHz FM translator in Lenoir, North Carolina.
