KCEP is a non-commercial radio station located in Las Vegas, Nevada, which broadcasts on 88.1 FM. KCEP transmits an Urban Contemporary music format marked "Power 88". His studies are in Las Vegas and his transmitter is on Black Mountain in Henderson. KCEP has for years been able to thrive in the Las Vegas market serving the African American community since its launch on 7 October 1972. The station under its format plays R&B, Hip Hop, Classic Soul, Old School, Gospel and Jazz. Based on this musical selection, KCEP was a non-commercial alternative to the main Las Vegas commercial stations that currently play similar music like KVEG, KLUC and KOAS.
