WFRO-FM is a commercial FM radio station licensed to the county seat of Sandusky in Fremont, Ohio. The station operates at the federally assigned frequency of 99.1 megahertz and is owned by BAS Broadcasting. WFRO was for the most part a combined AM and FM transmitter, with the FM being first broadcast in 1946 and broadcasting the AM (at 900 kHz) three years later. Both stations send each other for a part of the broadcasting day. During lunchtime, a separate program airs, with the MW focusing more on information and conversation and the FM on music.
