The WCTL of Erie, Pennsylvania, is a Christian radio station, which focuses its ministry on "Faith, Family and Entertainment". WCTL is available on FM 106.3 (Erie), FM 93.1 (Girard), FM 99.1 (North East) and live streaming on the Internet at www.wctl.org. WCTL's letters of call stand for "With Christ there is life". In October 2017, the station celebrated its 50th anniversary of transmission. WCTL is owned and operated by Inspiration Time, Inc., a non-profit company dedicated to excellence in Christian media. The station began with the vision of a man and the support of 21 Christian businessmen and pastors who pledged to bring Christian radio to the area of Erie, Pennsylvania, in 1967. George Smith, a professional radio engineer, received the vision that the Erie area needed Christian radio. After examining topographical maps and spending time in thoughts and prayers, Smith discovered a small Union City FM station that had become available.
