Licensed in Norwood, New York, USA, the station is currently owned by the Stephens Media Group. The station previously belonged to Martz Communications Group and was acquired by Stephens on February 1, 2008. After a weekend of a repeated loop of announcements on the weekend of July 6, 2008, WVLF became "The Valley's New Mix 96.1", starting at 6:00 am Monday July 7, 2008. The station now broadcasts a Bright Adult Contemporary format covering St Lawrence County (NY) and Cornwall, ON, including the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
