KMOO-FM (99.9 FM, "K-Moo") is a radio station that broadcasts a Country music format. Licensed in Mineola, Texas, United States, the station serves the Tyler-Longview area. The station is currently owned by Hightower Radio, Inc. Studios and transmitter are located in Mineola. KMOO was authorized at 96.7 MHz in 1977. It was owned by Sam and Joyce Curry. Under Curry's mandate, the station was indicated by its ownership and on-air personalities such as "KM Double O", and on-air personalities were not allowed to call the "KMOO" station, with the last three letters pronounced in a similar way to a noise made by cattle. Sam Curry sold the station in 1995, when he planned to start a race for the Wood County judge as a Democrat, a race he eventually lost.
