KXSP (590 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed in Omaha, Nebraska. The station is owned by SummitMedia and broadcasts a sports radio format. Most weekday and evening programs on weekdays are broadcast from local hosts, and in the mornings, late evenings and weekends, KXSP transmits the ESPN radio network.
The KXSP operates at 5,000 watts using an omnidirectional transmitter off the Sorensen Highway in North Omaha. Due to its location at the bottom of the AM dial, as well as the flat surface of Nebraska (with almost perfect soil conductivity), its signal is easily audible in much of eastern Nebraska, as well as in parts of Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and South Dakota. It provides Class B coverage both far south from Kansas City and east, like Des Moines, and north, like Sioux Falls Offices and studios located on Mockingbird Drive in South Omaha. KXSP programming is also performed on the KEZO-FM sub-channel HD-2.
