KCBI FM živě rádio

KCBI is an FM radio station for contemporary Christian music in the Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas, broadcasting on 90.9 FM and is owned by First Dallas Media Inc. (FDMI) KCBI started with an antenna in the First International City in downtown Dallas. The power was 1500 watts at an altitude of 660 feet above average terrain. The 90.9 spot tracks its beginnings in KCHU, a non-commercial FM broadcasting on August 29, 1975. KCHU operated until September 1977, when it stopped working due to financial problems. The station remained silent until 1980, the year of license renewal in Texas. (Radio stations then operated on a three-year license cycle.) At the same time, Criswell operated KCBI-FM from the roof of the Dallas center with 1500 watts at 89.3. They sought to raise power and height by moving to the Cedar Hill tower farm in Texas and sought to take over 90.9 KCHU. There was a legal fight and FCC. The result was a frequency conversion, settlement of disputes and the return of KCHU (renamed KNON) into the air as a new license.
