KNUV (1190 AM) is a Spanish-language broadcaster broadcasting from studios in downtown Phoenix. The station has a license for Tolleson, Arizona, where it maintains its transmitters. It is owned by Denver-based Amigo Multimedia, Inc. The broadcaster was originally registered as KZON by EO Smith before attempting a Spanish format and became the KRDS in 1963 before adopting a news / interview format in the early 1970s. It was converted in 1975 into a Christian language and music format. It was simultaneously broadcast on KRDS-FM 105.3 Wickenburg in the 1990s. This station is now called KHOV-FM.
