KCIS (630 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed in Edmonds, Washington, and serving the Seattle metropolitan area. The station is owned by Christian Ministries and broadcasts a Christian lecture and radio format for teaching. National and local religious leaders buy KCIS time blocks to show their shows, and they can seek donations to their ministries while they are airing. During the day and night, KCIS mainly hosts national religious programs organized by Christian leaders such as Jim Daly, David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll and June Hunt. At night and during some hours of the day, the station plays soft Christian music. The KCIS is powered at 5,000 watts per day using a non-directional signal. . The daytime transmitter is co-located with studios and offices on Freemont Avenue North on Kings Garden Drive in Seattle. But to avoid interfering with other AM 630 stations, it reduces power at night to 2,500 watts using a directional antenna. The set of night towers is on Kaltenborn Road in Snohomish.
